Submitting to council and local building authorities
To submit plans to council you will need to check with your local authority to confirm all their requirements, they will normally have a check list.
Note sometimes requirements differ from area to area.
However here are the normal requirements.
• Full working drawings ( as per our plans pack)
• Soil test information
• Structural Engineering Design Check & Certification ( engineer needs our plans and soil test to provide the Certification)
• Contour survey of your land
• Site Plan ( the house design shown in position on your land ) we can provide this for $250 but need the contour survey 1st
• Energy Efficiency Assessment
• Registered Builders license number (For insurance reasons and costs, we do not offer our construction plans to owner builders)
However
You can use the plans if you take them as the creator’s responsibility, and take the authorship
This will enable you to submit to council as your own work. Please check this with your council
